Claims teams are automating and moving faster than ever, especially as policyholder-submitted photos and videos enable remote adjusting at scale. This helps reduce field visits, speed up estimates, and make the process easier for policyholders. But every claim submission still depends on one thing: trusted evidence.

Generative AI and more accessible editing tools have made it easier for anyone to create, alter, or reuse visual documentation that looks legitimate at first glance. That has resulted in a new phase of insurance fraud, which is evolving more quickly than detection tools can keep up.

In response to these unprecedented challenges, Verisk and Truepic have partnered to integrate authenticated visual documentation into Verisk’s claims workflows, delivering a new trust layer for carriers’ day‑to‑day claims operations.

Introducing verified evidence, inside your claims workflows

We’re excited to announce Truepic’s integration with XactAnalysis® and Xactimate®, part of Verisk’s Xactware® product suite. The integration brings Truepic’s verified visual evidence directly into the claims workflows adjusters already use, providing a faster and more reliable way to document property damage and move claims forward.

With the integration, adjusters can now request a Truepic inspection from XactAnalysis and receive authenticated photos and videos without leaving their existing claims workflow. Results are delivered in real time, giving adjusters trusted evidence to make more informed decisions, reduce costly field inspections, and move to estimation sooner.

How the integration works

The workflow is simple:

  1. An adjuster requests a Truepic inspection from XactAnalysis.
Requests can be triggered manually or automatically based on the claim workflow.
  2. The policyholder completes a guided capture from their mobile device.
They open a secure link, follow prompts, and capture the requested photos or videos in minutes.
  3. The adjuster receives verified results in XactAnalysis and Xactimate.
Authenticated photos, videos, and a fraud detection report are delivered back into the workflow, ready for review and estimation.

No platform switching and no guesswork about whether a submitted photo reflects what really happened at the property. Truepic verifies the media in real time and runs every submission through 50+ fraud checks designed to flag AI-generated images, screen captures, metadata anomalies, and other suspicious signals. Truepic also cryptographically seals the media before it enters the claim file.

Why this matters now

This solution addresses a growing fraud challenge for insurers as AI makes it easier to fabricate documents. Verisk’s State of Insurance Fraud Study found that more than one-third of consumers would consider digitally altering a claim image or document to strengthen their case, even if doing so would break insurer rules. Insurers are already seeing the impact: 99% say they have encountered manipulated or AI-altered documentation, and 76% say AI-altered claims submissions have become more sophisticated in the past year.

That creates a difficult tradeoff for claims teams. They need to move quickly, control costs, and deliver a smooth experience for policyholders. But they also need to know whether the photos and videos that drive their decisions are real.

Fraud tools only help if they fit into the way teams already work. This is why this integration is designed to bring visual authentication directly into the claims workflow, rather than creating another disconnected system for adjusters to check.

“Insurance carriers are facing a fraud landscape that has changed faster than their tools, resulting in inflated claims payouts. This integration puts Truepic’s authenticated visual evidence directly inside the Xactware product suite to give claims teams evidence they can trust and act on immediately. We’ve spent years building the infrastructure to make visual evidence irrefutable, and this integration puts that capability where it’s needed most.” - Craig Stack, Founder and President at Truepic
